Presenting two pianos, two styles of playing coming together in harmony to
create passionate, imaginative, reflective musical moments. This one hour
journey of faith features the piano artistry of Steve Hall and Peggy
Duquesnel performing on two magnificent Steinway grand pianos with
orchestral instrumentation. The path we chose is one of variety…featuring
selected favorite hymns, gospel tunes and current popular songs with an
inspirational message. In addition, there are some intriguing arrangements
utilizing different classical themes. May this path through the beautiful
forest depicted on the cover lead you toward the "divine light".
The inspiration for this musical project blossomed in the summer of 2006 on
the Oregon coast, when my husband and I crossed paths with Steve and his
family. Steve and I shared some musical ideas with each other and had
loosely talked about collaborating on a “two piano” recording for many
years. Now we knew the time was right!
I have always admired Steve and his unique gifts as an artist. It has been
a thrill to work with him and I am especially honored that one of my
original songs in the title track for the CD. We have poured our hearts,
talents and time into creating this project and hope that you will be
blessed by the music.
